About Lindsey
I believe life is too short for unfulfilling, disconnected relationships and unmanaged trauma, anxiety, depression, and ADHD!

Growing up, I found solace, hope, and a relief from anxiety in horses. Horses have provided me with such gifts and healing. They can do that for you too.

Hi! I’m Lindsey. I grew up riding and showing horses on a national level and then went on to become a certified therapeutic horseback riding instructor (CTRI) through PATH International. I have been providing equine assisted psychotherapy and learning for clients since 2019 and have been involved in equine therapeutic experiences and activities since 2003. I strive to provide a connected, embodied, healing experience with an equine partner for each of my clients.
Through the presence of horses, I can help you and your family identify unhealthy relationship patterns, process trauma, work through anxiety and depression, and manage ADHD to bring more authenticity and connection to your relationships and life. I believe we should all feel safe walking into a new or existing arena and be able to do brave things. Being able to brave the arena requires safe, empathic, trusting relationships. I believe the key to healing is through a felt sense of safety within healthy relationships which I want to provide to you in our counseling relationship. I work from a foundation of attachment, formed during the early years of life, which impacts how we show up in our close relationships later in life. I believe the mind and body are highly connected and use body-based modalities, such as somatic experiencing, to integrate both for a well-rounded, strengths-based, authentic, and nonjudgmental therapeutic experience.

“In dreams, mythical stories, and lore, one universal symbol for the human body and its instinctual nature is the horse.”
~Peter Levine
Combining my training in somatic experiencing through Somatic Experiencing International, founded by Peter Levine, Natural Lifemanship, and EQUUSOMA, and the natural wisdom of the horses, the parts of your brain can become integrated, and your nervous system regulated. By working with horses, you can find peace.
While I work with many clinical concerns, I have unique experience in working with ADHD, mood disorders, trauma, complex trauma, sexual assault, sex trafficking, affair recovery, any and all sexual or gender concerns, and diverse types of relationship structures. I primarily work with children ages 5 and older, teens, adults, couples, and families.
Outside of work, you can find me sitting in my horse’s stall, riding my horse, spending time with my husband and two boys, reading, and having a girl’s night with my friends.
